Drawing on Detroit's rich musical history that continues to captivate the world –the Motor City Music Conference (MC2) will bring music industry professionals, musicians, and music fans together for showcasing, networking, career development, media exposure, promotional opportunities and much more. Over 400 bands from around the world will showcase in 40+ Detroit venues over 5 nights. MC2 will also include 3 days of music industry/A&R panels, and a music and lifestyle trade show at Cobo Expo Center.

In 2005 some of our showcasing artists included: Moby, The Black Keys, Trail of the Dead, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Snoop Dog, The Game, Paul Westerberg, Proof (D12), The Detroit Cobras, The Dirt Bombs, Crud, Me Without You, The Paybacks, Paradime, Dirty Americans and many more.

Additionally, over 25 music industry panel discussions were led by well-known artists, label reps, managers, booking agents and radio programmers who talked about every aspect of the music industry. Topics included getting signed to a label, booking, licensing your music for television and film, new technology, how to get airplay and more.

Our trade show featured over 100 music and lifestyle exhibitors - and a skateboard ramp and interactive displays at Cobo Expo Center.
