Approximately 400 Bands From Around The World Will Showcase At MC2 From May 17-21, 2006.

This is an exciting opportunity to perform for music industry representatives and music fans in Detroit Rock City! We are now accepting showcase applications from bands in ALL music genres. Bands must submit online using Sonicbids. Sonicbids is THE clearinghouse for music conferences, contests and other great opportunities. MC2's showcase application fee is $25.

The deadline for showcase applications is February 15, 2006. All showcasing bands will be notified via email by March 31, 2006.

MC2's music committee will select bands to showcase, and assign venues and performance times. Bands are selected based on songwriting, performance, originality, technical ability, artistry, and career achievements.

Bands selected to showcase will be responsible for providing their own transportation, accommodations and instruments to Detroit and the venue they are booked to perform at. MC2 will award each showcasing band one (1) registration pass to attend the conference panels in addition to tradeshow and showcases. Each band member and 1 crew member will receive wristbands to attend MC2 showcases. No monetary compensation will be provided to the bands for performing, however, bands will be given an opportunity (and are encouraged) to sell their merchandise at their showcases.
