Gary Grimshaw And Leni Sinclair
Two icons of Motor City visual art, photographer Leni Sinclair and graphic artist Gary Grimshaw, have teamed up to diplay their work at the Motor City Music Conference.
Both Leni and GAry are famous for their early work for the MC5 and the Grande Ballroom, and have continued to be an integral part of the Detroit music scene.
Leni's candid photography and filmography has captured Detroit music as no one else could. From the Stooges to the Gore Gore Girls, Leni has been there. Her latest project is a DVD extended video of the classic MC5 music which she is producing in collaboration with Cary Loren of Bookbeat.
Gary Grimshaw is one of the original '60's rock poster artists who just won't go away. He just finished a CD cover for A Thousand Times Yes, has done posters in the last year for the Detroit Cobras, The Dirtbombs and the Fred Smith Tribute Concert at the Magic Stick.
